4-hour ADAPT (Drug & Alcohol Awareness)
This class is a mandatory class for new drivers. It emphasizes the importance of not using drugs, alcohol or illegal substance when driving a vehicle.
If you have never been issued a drivers license in any state or country, the state of Florida requires that you complete a Drug and Alcohol Course. This class is a mandatory class for new drivers and it’s a 4 hour course in order to apply for the Florida learners permit. This course will teach all the material about traffic laws, traffic safety and substance abuse avoidance required by the FLHSMV who has approved this course.

4-hour Basic Driver Improvement Class
You will select this course to keep points off your drivers license and prevent insurance rate increases.
This class is approved by the Florida Department Highway Safety Motor Vehicles (DHSMV).
In order to qualify for a Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) course to eliminate the assessment of points, drivers must voluntarily elect this option within 30 days from the citation date and, prior to attending the course.

8-hour Court Ordered Class
This class needs to be taken by someone who has received a Florida court order from a Judge as part of a sentencing judgment or have received a second ticket within 12-months.
The 8 hour Basic Driver Improvement Class, also called Defensive Driving School course is a Certified Florida Traffic School class.
The Florida 8 Hour traffic school course is typically for the individual who has:
Received multiple traffic citations over a short period of time.
Received mandatory or serious traffic violations.
Florida Residents that received a traffic ticket in another state. Many other states require a “6 Hour or Greater Course, to be completed in In Person”. This includes (not limited to) Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.
This class is offered in English on Tuesdays and in Spanish on Wednesdays.

12 Hour Advanced Driver Improvement Class
Select this class if your driver’s license has been suspended, received an order from the court or a letter from the DMV as mandatory.
Drivers must complete an Advanced Driver Improvement (ADI) course if their driver license was suspended in Florida for accumulation of points, as a habitual traffic offender (non-DUI related), or by court order. The 12-Hour Advanced Driver Improvement (ADI) is a Certified Florida Traffic School class.
To be suspended for points, a driver accumulates;
- 12 points within 12 months (30 day suspension);
- 18 points within 18 months (3 month suspension); or
- 24 points within 36 months (1 year suspension).
This class is offered in English on Tuesdays and in Spanish on Wednesdays.
